Weekly Colorado Concert Calendar (8/20-8/26)
If there’s still one good thing left about Mondays, it’s our weekly concert calendar. This week features a sold out Gipsy Kings show, Crosby, Stills & Nash at Red Rocks, Higher Ground Music Festival, and an epic rap concert with Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and Indigenous Peoples. With Snoop’s recent decision to change his name to Snoop Lion and make reggae music, I’m sure that most ticket holders are keeping their fingers crossed he’ll be in CO as tha Dogg. This week also marks the 25th anniversary of Red Rocks’ homage to reggae, “Reggae on the Rocks”. Finally, CU is putting on their annual welcome back concert for students on campus this Saturday. “Welcomefest” features Ghostland Observatory, Minnesota, Sunsquabi and more.
